Mr. Arunasalam Arunkunanayagam, originally from Jaffna and residing in Ontario, Canada, passed away in Canada on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

He was the eldest son of the late Arunasalam and Nagamma, the beloved husband of the late Gowrimalar,and the loving father of Aswini and Abinaya.

He was also the dear brother of Arunkunasekaram, Aruneshwari, the late Arunkunananthan, the late Arunkunendran, Arunavathi, Arunadevi, the late Chidambaranathan, Arunakuganathan, and the late Arunabhavanathan.

He was the cherished uncle of Meredith and Nilen, and the beloved cousin of Rajarajeswari, Maria Elvira, Jayarasa Anran, Joseph Thulasidasan, the late Sivamalar – Divakalala, Ariyamalar, the late Kanagaratnam, the late Punitamalar – Ramanathan, Kumaranathan, Manorani, Uma Premmohan, Gokilaraji, the late Ravi Subra, Surya – Vanniyanathan, Mahendranathan – Thanuja, and Mehala – Dileepan.
