formerly of Uyirththarasan Kulam, Mannar, and later a resident of Thirunelvely, India.
Though five years have swiftly passed,
Your memories have not left our hearts.
You remain our loved one,
Our everlasting remembrance.
Even after five long years,
You live on with us
Like a portrait time has painted
In every moment of our lives.
We waited, hoping you would return,
But now we see you only
As a star among the skies.
Our dearest father, so full of love,
You gave us names from the first letter of the alphabet,
And now, without you,
We are like kites cut loose,
Tossed about by the wind.
