He was the son of the late Dr. Selvadrai was the eldest son of the Ratnam couple, the beloved son-in-law of the late Arumugam and Ratnam couple,

the beloved husband of Premala,

the beloved brother of the late Nagendran, Rukmani and Leelamani, Radhamani, Manonmani, Saradhamani, Ranjithamani, Shanmugan and Nadesan,

the beloved brother-in-law of Sushila, Thiru, Dr. Vimala, late Sri, Shakthi and Akila,

the beloved father of late Pranavan, Tarini and Shivani,

the beloved father-in-law of Justin and Indrajith, and the affectionate grandson of Janaki, Gayathri and Shanthini.
