Born in Kodikamam, Jaffna, a resident of Meesalai North, and later residing in Benken (St. Gallen), Switzerland, Mr. Kandiah Velayuthampillai passed away and attained eternal rest on Thursday, 08-01-2026.
He was the beloved son of Kandiah and Vallippillai, the beloved son-in-law of Varithambi and Annapillai, t
he loving husband of Bhuvaneswari (Rasathi),
the affectionate father of Malini (Canada), Kethini, Premini, Jeyanthin (Switzerland), and the late Malathan.
He was the loving father-in-law of Sivakumar (Canada), Sivanesan, Sankareeswaran, and Sivarubi (Switzerland).
He was the dearly loved brother of the late Veluppillai, Nachippillai, and Kasippillai, and Nagamma (Sri Lanka),
the beloved brother-in-law of Parameswari, and the late Arumugam, Kasinathan, and Ariyamalar.
He was the loving grandfather of Varnaja, Aaron, Sarika, Ajith (Canada), Vidhurshan, Danusiya, Vidhurshana, Sudharshan, Ninujaan, Sagana, Nilakshan, Raghavi, Nithuran (Switzerland),
the affectionate great-grandfather of Varsika and Sarvika (Switzerland); and the loving great-great-grandfather of Velan, Meera (Canada), Thara, and Aila (Switzerland).
He was also the brother-in-law of Nagapoosanam, Rajeswari, and Nagendram,
the brother-in-law (by marriage) of the late Subramaniyam, as well as Subash and Kanila.
