It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Manonmani Theophilus, originally from Achchuveli, Jaffna, and formerly of Mannar and Toronto, Canada. She passed away peacefully in Canada on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Selvathambu and Rathinam, and the cherished daughter-in-law of the late Masillamani and Josephine. She was the devoted wife of the late Masillamani Theophilus. A loving mother, she is fondly remembered by her children Krishni Benedict, Wilson Rajan, Vijaya Gunanayagam, Arundhathi Rasaiya, Nirmala Jonedasan, Kamal Theophilus, and Mahendran Theophilus. She was the dear sister of the late Vedhananthan, Gnanananthan, Yohanathan, and Luke, and the loving sister-in-law of Gnanarathinam, Selvarathinam, Arulnayagam, Sabanayagam, Reethra, and Krishri. She was also the beloved mother-in-law of Benedict, Cecilia, Gunanayagam, Manon, and Jonedasan. Her memory will live on through her grandchildren Sudarsini, Niruja, Yalini, Dinesh, Priyatharshini, Subothini, Sajani, Tharani, Sajana, Mathivathana, Naveen, Vinuja, Anujan, Silvi, Janani, and Kaya, as well as many great-grandchildren.
