Mrs.Meenalojini Arunagiri, who was born in Thondaimanaru, Jaffna, and resided in Kathirippai, Achchuveli, passed away on Sunday, 4th January 2026, attaining the feet of the Lord.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Ponbalasundharam (GS) and Mrs. Rasanayaki,

the daughter-in-law of the late Mr. Vairamuthu and Mrs. Vallippillai.

She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Arunagiri

the loving mother of Bhavani and Ajanthan.

She was the dear sister of the late Sarojini, Kamalalogini, Premachandhiran, and Vimalalogini, as well as Harichandhiran, Jayachandran, Padhmalogini, Gnanachandhiran, Balachandhiran, Ramachandhiran, Yogachandhiran, and Silogini.

She was the affectionate mother-in-law of Vickneshwararaja and Grandeep,

the loving grandmother of Nirupa–Narendhiran, Praveen–Karthika, Ishika, and Ashwini.

She was also the cherished great-grandmother of Aathirai, Dhruvan, Thashvin, and kavin.

The funeral rites will be held at her residence on Wednesday, 7th January 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by cremation at the Kathirippai Hindu Cemetery.
