In memory of Mr. Nadarajah Srirasakuladevan,
originally from Allaiyuppiddy, Zone 1, Jaffna,
and formerly residing in Schenkon, Switzerland.
A year has passed, Appa ,
Since we lost you,
But each moment feels like an unending era of grief.
Every day is heavy, lived with your memories.
Life at home without you
Feels so incomplete.
Who could ever take your place?
You embraced us all with love,
And guided us with grace.
Even though you’ve gone far from us,
Those days we spent with you will never fade, Appa.
No matter how many relationships surround me,
The only one I seek is you.
Because you were not just my relation
You were my life, Appa.
