Mr Ponniah Jeyavinthan, a native of Usan Mirusuvil, Jaffna, and a resident of Canada, passed away on Thursday, 08-01-2026.
He was the eldest son of the late Ponnaiya and Nageswari,
the beloved son-in-law of the late Ramanathan (Retired Teacher) and Kanmaniyamma of Inuvil West Chettivalavu Lane,
the loving husband of Nirmala (Mala),
the devoted father of Nijani and Sanojan,
the affectionate brother of Mahindan and Geetha (London), and the late Nisanthan and Skanthan,
He was the beloved brother-in-law of Sumathi, Muruganandan, Guganandan, Parankundran (Canada), Bhagirathi, Mahendralingam, Niranji, Vasuki (Inuvil), Naganathan, Umanithi, Darsika, Varmila (London),
the loving paternal uncle of Lucky, Keerthi, Ashnavi,
the paternal uncle of Abisha and Anujin,
the affectionate maternal uncle of Vageesan, Vinosan, Vikirthan, Arusan, Atheesan, Ayeesan, Athusan, Athusana, Sathursan, Grishan, Akshaya,
the son-in-law of Nallamma,
the brother-in-law of Iphone (London) and Kulesi (Denmark),
the brother-in-law of Sivanandhasothi, Ananthi, Prabanandan, Dayavathi, and Vasanthi.
