Pushparani Shanmugam, originally from Karambon West in Jaffna and a resident of Colombo, Vavuniya, and later Southall and East Ham in the United Kingdom, passed away on Sunday, 30-11-2025, attaining the Lord’s abode.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Ratnam and Sivakami,

and the cherished daughter-in-law of the late Sinnaththambi and Sithamparam,

She was the loving wife of the late Sinnaththambi Shanmugam and the affectionate mother of Srikandini and Dimokarani,

She was also the dearly loved mother-in-law of Payas and Paramanshan,

She was the cherished grandmother of the late Mayooran, and Lakshika–Gajan, Sujeevan–Sanshika, Banushan–Jenny, Bhagavi, and Banuka, and the loving great-grandmother of Sanuja, Thananja, Adhyuth, and Siana.

She was the beloved sister of the late Somasundaram (Iyathurai), Rasaligam, and Yogaparasakthi (Sivam).
