Mrs. Sargunam Mahesavelu, originally from Meesalai, Jaffna, and a resident of Sri Lanka, London (United Kingdom), and Scarborough (Canada), passed away on Thursday, 30th October 2025, and attained the Lord’s feet.

She was the beloved wife of the late Mahesavelu Velupillai (Retired Deputy Director of Education – Jaffna),

the loving daughter of the late Ponnamma and Thambipillai,

the dear daughter-in-law of the late Velupillai and Theivanaypillai,

the affectionate mother of Vasanthan (USA), Kalairanjan (London), Mugunthan (Canada), Darshini (London), and Hemalatha (London),

the beloved mother-in-law of Padmavathi, Ranjithamalar, Prabajini, Akilan, and Sashidaran,

the loving grandmother of Avigna, Ashwin (USA), Keerthika, Haripriya (London), Akshini, Abinan (Canada), Vishagan (London), and Abhinav (London),

the dear sister of the late Maheswari, Ganeshapillai, Somasundaram, and Parameswari, Padmanathan, Bhuvaneswari, Kamaleswari, and Thangarasa.

The funeral service will be held at her residence at Bangala Road, Meesalai West, Meesalai, on Tuesday, 4th November 2025, at around 9:00 a.m., followed by cremation at the Vemparai Hindu Crematorium.
