Mrs. Sellathurai Melliamma

Mrs. Sellathurai Melliamma was born in Nainativu, Jaffna, and lived in Colombo and Jaffna – Nallur, Muthiraichanthi passed away peacefully on Thursday, 16-10-2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Periyathambi and Sivakami, and loving daughter-in-law of the late Vairamuthu and Nagamuthu.

She was the beloved wife of Sellathurai.

She was the loving sister of the late Sornamani, Parimalam, and Kamalaveni, and of the late Murugathas and Moganathas.

She was also the beloved sister-in-law of the late Sellamma and Nagamani.

She was the loving mother of Pushparani, late Karunanithi and Somakala(Canada), Sivagnanam, Jeevathambal (London), Vimaleswaran (USA) and Nalayini.

She was the loving mother-in-law of Ganesathasan(Canada), Sivathasan, Sivapathalingam (London), Banuja(USA), and the late Dr. MurugathasGandhi.

She was the beloved grandmother of Jayakumar – Gowri, Asha – Sudharshan (London), Kithurshan (London) – Darshi, Gavin (London), Thirupriya - Thanarajan (USA), Dishanthan, Amsikan (USA), Amisha (USA) and Sajithaveni.

She was the beloved great-grandmother of Sindhuja, Vijith, Divani (USA), Makilan (USA) and Yashna (London).

Her mortal remains are kept at her residence 41/13, Chettiyar Thottam, Nallur (Jamuna Eari). The funeral rites will take place on Tuesday, 21-10-2025 at 09:00 AM.
