Mr. Swaminathar Murugesu

Swaminathar Murugesu, originally from Neduntheevu, and a resident of Jaffna, Chavakachcheri, Vavuniya, and Chennai (India), passed away peacefully on Saturday, 29 November 2025.

He was the youngest son of the late Swaminathar (Sangili Vithanai) and Nagamuthu,

He was the sixth descendant of the Kandappu Mudali family lineage and the beloved son-in-law of the late Chinnappunayagam (Headmaster) and Agathamma,

He was the loving husband of Pushparani (Canada),

He was the beloved father of Santhini (Canada), Santhakumar (Canada), and Jayanthini (Canada),

He was the dear brother of the late Ponnamma, Kumaravel, Parvathi (Komalam), and Kanakamma (Teacher),

He was the loving father-in-law of Yulian (Canada), Chrisree (Canada), and Selin (Canada),

He was the dear brother-in-law of the late Dharmalingam, Parasakthi, Alalasundaresan (Allaipiddy), and Thambaiya,

He was the beloved uncle-in-law of Navamanidevi, Selvanayagam, the late Selvarathinam, Selvarajani, and Selvaraveendran,

He was also the cherished paternal uncle of the late Kanesalingam, Shanmugalingam, Punniyalingam, Nagalingam, Pararasalingam, Thurailingam, Thanalakshmi, Thavapackiyam, Vasanthadevi, and Pakkiyavathi,

He was the loving uncle of Suresh and Ramesh,

He was the dear brother-in-law of the late Mariasekaram, Soundaranayagam and Rajeshwari (Jaffna), Kamalarani (Jaffna), Selvanayagam (Canada), and Vimala Rani (United Kingdom),

He was the loving grandfather of Joy, Justin, Shiromi, Desmond, Jerumi, Cherubin, Steve, and Stephanie, all residing in Canada,

He was the beloved great-grandfather of Aiva and Sayan,

He was also a respected community worker who was admired by many for his social service.
