Mrs. Thambaiya Kannamma

It is with deep sorrow that we inform the passing of our beloved mother-in-law (wife’s mother), Mrs. Thambaiya Kannamma, originally from Ward 7, Pungudutivu, Jaffna, and a  resident of Toronto, Canada. She peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Bern, Switzerland.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Mr. Rasaiya and Mrs. Seethevipillai, and the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Mr. Kanapathipillai and Mrs. Nagamuthu,

She was the loving wife of the late Mr. Thambaiya Kanapathipillai ( a renowned businessman),

She was the devoted mother of Premananthan, Vijiyananthi, the late Nithiyananthan, Subananthi, Srikuganathan (Roger), Susiyananthi, Sivananthan, and Thujananthi.

She was the beloved mother-in-law of Kalarajani, Sritharan, Ketheeswaran, Dhayani, Kanagalingam, Priyatharsini, and Vaheesan.

She was also the dear sister of Dharmavathi (Switzerland), Dhanalakshmi (Canada), the late Sivapackiyam, Ambikavathi (Canada), Praba (Canada), Mahalatchumi (Switzerland), Vasanthakumar (Switzerland), and Shanmugarajah (Switzerland).

She was the affectionate sister-in-law of the late Kathirasipillai, Sellamuthu, Ilayathambi, Visuwalingam, Sellachchi, Velayutham, Chinnamma, and also of Sellaiyah, Balasubramaniam, Shanmugarajah, Ilangainathan, Sarojadevi, Kirubanandan, Jayalalitha, and Vasantharani.

She was the loving grandmother of Danushan, Praveena, Nitharsana, Keerthana, Sangeeth, Nivedha, Niveka, Ajin, Aksha, Rejin, Aarith, Ishan, Keerthika, and Karthika.
