Mrs. Thavamanypillai Markandan

Mrs. Thavamanypillai Markandan originally from Sunnakam, Jaffna, and residing in London, United Kingdom, passed away on Friday, 31st October 2025.

 

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Appakutty Sinnathambi Kathirasapillai of Sunnakam,

 

 and the loving daughter-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Murugesu Arumugamkuttipillai.

 

She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Arumugam Markandan (College Professor, B.A., B.Sc., P.G.T.),

 

and the loving mother of Sivanesan (Theenadhayalan), the late Balaranjana, Bhaktavatsala, Thiruvarthuran, Alalasundharan, and Gowrikaran.

 

She was the affectionate mother-in-law of Sriranjini, Gengatharan, the late Santhini Thiruvarthuran, Shanthi, and Shyamala.

 

She was also the loving sister of the late Vikineswary,

 

and the cherished grandmother of Dr. Karthiga, Dr. Sunil Ramasuva, Hari Brindhavan, Aarathi, Kanishka, Gowrikaran, Sankarathmajan, Maayon, Thammanna, and Gayithri.

 

She was the dear great-grandmother of Nathaniel, Kiran, Radha, Rayan, Meera, Riya, Rishan, Anaya, and Aari.
