Obituary Message
Thavapakkiya Ammah Swaminathan, originally from Periyapalai and a resident of Kalkisai, Colombo, and Canada, passed away on Thursday, 13 November 2025.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Sellathurai and Chinnapillai,
and the loving daughter-in-law of Thamodharampillai and Chellamma.
She was the dearly beloved wife of the late Swaminathan.
She was the cherished mother of Ravindran (UK), Kavitha (Canada), Bhuvindhiran (Colombo), Sukhirtha (Canada), Vijitha (Palai) and Gopika (Canada).
She was the loving mother-in-law of Suwarna, Krishnadhasan, Anusha, Dinesh, Muruganandan and Kiran.
She was the beloved sister of Nadarajah, and the dear sister-in-law of Malini.
She was the loving grandmother of Dishan, Gerson, Sanusha–Imraz, Aswinth, Anushka, Madhumitha, Amara, Akil, Kaviraj, Abinith and Jaden,
and the dear aunt of Priyananth and Thayomi.
She was the loving sister-in-law of the late Nagaratnam–Selvanayaki, the late Dharmakulasingam–Annamuthu, the late Thanapalasingham–Indirani, the late Arumainathan–late Chandradevi, Dharmarajasingam–Sarveswari, Thiruselvanathan–Uma, Ariyamalar–Balasubramaniam and Sivnathan–Gomathi.
