20th Year Remembrance of Late Thredamah Ponrajah ,a beloved soul born and raised in Mirusuvil, Jaffna.
It’s been twenty years, Amma,
since the divine presence we lived with has departed.
Even if wealth and riches were poured upon us,
can they ever equal a mother’s love?
Can anything ever replace the warmth of the womb
that carried and nurtured us?
When we kicked from within your womb,
you joyfully kissed our tiny feet.
You carried us, shared your very life,
and gave us form and being.
Through sleepless nights,
you stayed awake as our guiding light,
sacrificing your rest for our comfort and happiness.
You found joy just in seeing us smile, Amma!
Though time cannot be reversed,
we look back through your memories
and the reflection of your image.
We pray to the Lord
for the eternal peace of your soul.
